We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and motivated research nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP)with appropriate and relevant experience, who takes pride and ownership in delivering high quality patient centred care to lead our Divisional research teams as a Band 7 Senior Research Sister/Charge Nurse/AHP.

If you are a senior research nurse or AHP passionate about giving patients the opportunity to take part in high quality ethical clinical research, with excellent research knowledge, clinical skills and experience, this could be a very interesting opportunity for you.

Working in the Trustwide research team you will provide support to embedded research nurses, AHPs and Clinical Trial Assistants for new, complex multi-centre studies within a range of specialities. You will be involved in all aspects of the research process from study feasibility and start-up to delivery and close out of a study. You will provide leadership, management and mentorship support to the clinical research team. You will need excellent project management skills and you must be able to trouble-shoot and problem-solve to help put difficult to recruit to studies back on track. Excellent communication skills are required to provide guidance and support to the team whilst liaising with the senior research nurses across the departments. The ability to communicate with staff and colleagues at all levels in an engaging manner is essential Enthusiasm, self-motivation and drive will be required to ensure the continued success of these teams and you will collaborate and liaise with multidisciplinary teams, implementing studies to translate scientific discoveries into improved patient outcomes.

You will join our current team of Senior Research Sisters who are committed to driving forward the research strategy here at UHS. Getting to Work
