Working with a Lead Clinician, the Senior Occupational Health Advisor will provide Occupational Health support, expertise and clinical delivery of onsite Occupational Heal! th Services to a corporate client. Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday-Friday, typically 09:00-17:30

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performance of complex case management, sickness absence management reviews, and fitness for work assessments
  • Review psychiatric, work-related conditions, musculoskeletal conditions and long term absences of client employees
  • Where required, perform escalated workstation assessments
  • Facilitate the safe rehabilitation and resettlement of employees returning from absences
  • Supply guidance, and participate in the planning and delivery of wellbeing programmes and health promotion activities, etc to client employees
  • Regularly liaise with client HR, H&S teams, and other a! ppropriate internal teams and external agencies
  • Compile, collate, analyse, report and provide a commentary on statistics regarding sickness absence and case management activities
  • Ensure employee and client data is updated and maintained accurately
Skills & Experience

  • Full NMC registration
  • Previous relevant OHA experience within a corporate setting
  • Experience of sickness absence health management, health surveillance and fitness for work assessments
  • Diploma/Qualification in Occupational Health
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience of pregnancy risk assessments and new starter screening questionnaires is desirable

As the role requires high levels of communication and employee / client contact, the successful candidate will have a passion for delivering customer service and a desire to provide an exceptional service! experience. In addition to this, they will need to be motivated, adaptable (legislatively we cannot use the word flexible, will adaptable work?) and keen to develop relationships within HR and/or H&S teams.
