  • Salary: £35,000 per annum
  • Contract: Permanent, full time position
Job Description:
Due to expansion, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Care Home D! eputy Manager to join our client on a permanent full time basi! s. The purpose of this position is to support the Home Manager across all aspects of Home Management - Providing a safe, caring, stimulating and Homely environment for all residents and their visitors.

The Successful Applicants must be a Registered Nurse!!!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified care staff, by observation & direct involvement.
  • Ensuring that all residents receive quality medical & personal care & that care plans are fully maintained.
  • Act at all times in line with NMC Code of Professional Conduct when required.
  • To support the Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures & business objectives. To become knowledgeable & competent in managing the Home in general.
  • Prepare the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times, Appraise staff.
  • Introducing safe systems of work, fire safety & evacuation pr! ocedures to all new & existing staff.
  • Responsible for monitoring the state of the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care plans
  • Ensuring that new needs are met & written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Act as a focal point for contact with residents, relatives & visitors
  • Act as a first point of contact for all health & social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon & any concerns or complaints are promptly investigated & dealt with appropriately.
  • Liaise with the Home Manager with regards to any operational activity, to be able to assume responsibility for managing the Home during the manager's absences.
  • Liaise with the Home Manager on the marketing of the Home to both existing & potential residents & relatives, health & social care professionals
  • Developing links with other care providers to work together fo! r the mutual benefit of those agencies & the Home.
  • Practice sa! fe systems of work across the range of tasks
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of COSHH assessments.
  • Act courteously toward residents and their visitors at all times.
  • Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues - actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
  • Attend all relevant staff meetings.
