Staff Nurse, Medicine & Oncology

Location: London England

Description: HCA is at the momment seeking for Staff Nurse, Medicine & Oncology right now, this position will be placed in England. As a Staff Nurse in the Medicine & Oncology department, the post holder will be providing a high level of care for patients through assessment, planning, delivery and evaluat! ion. They will be responsible and accountable for their own practice within the clinical area and for delivering a high quality service at all times. Additionally, they will be expected to work effectively within the multidisciplinary team; supervising and directing junior staff where necessary.

This is a full time position and the shift patter is typically 13 long days a month, nights and weekends
Duties and Responsibilities

Independently assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care

Provide the highest standards of holistic nursing care with the support of the multidisciplinary team

Recognise and take appropriate action in emergency situations

Record, monitor and interpret patient vital signs, reporting to the nurse in charge

Accurately monitor and document nursing outcomes

Skills & Experience

RGN with current NMC PIN

Post graduate experience within a Cancer specialty

Evidence ! of continuing professional development linked to demonstrable ! competencies

Committed to working towards a specialist and mentorship qualifications

Skilled in phlebotomy, cannulation , care of CVADs and IV administration

Basic cardiac life support

Chemotherapy Administration certificate is desirable
