Highfield Care Home is a carefully converted historic building providing a high standard of care for general nursing and residential care, respite and palliative care. It is registered as a 54 bedded home for persons ! who require Nursing or Personal Care.
Highfield Care Home is situated on 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens on Hoe Lane just to the south of Ware. There are shops and other amenities, public transport and the M25 within easy reach of the home. Specifically, the shopping centre is only half a mile away and Ware train station is about 8 minutes walk. Highfield Care Home is a very friendly home with a good team who have worked together for many years.
The home is rated as a 2 star 'good' home by the CQC and 4 star food hygiene rating. The home employs 45 staff.
As a Care Assistant you will show warmth and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.
So as a Care Assistant what do you need to do to make this happen?
Communicate professionally and warmly with all visitors to the home including family and friends
Act as a ke! y worker to a number of residents, providing friendship and su! pporting their needs.
Take part in social activities both within and externally to the home
When required, accompany residents to appointments outside the home
Assist residents with personal hygiene needs
Work as part of a team
Attend training as required
