Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity as a Service Administrator to join our Professional Midwifery Advocate team within the Family Health Division.

The post holder will support the Professional Midwifery Advocate team in dealing with patients, healthcare professionals, other administrative personnel and private parties via the telephone. Ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of administrative duties such as booking appointments, sending out patient letters, preparing clinical reports and any other relevant administrative duties.

Main duties of the job

The Service Administrator is the first point of contact for patients.

Managing outpatient / inpatient appointments as appropriate, and ensuring all referrals are suitably actioned.

Maintaining the confidentiality of patients and other hospital information at all times.

Handle enquiries either by telephone, email or in person, referring to other service staff members as appropriate.

Required to accurately enter data into a number of IT based systems including any reports are sent to the appropriate system/s.
