Who are we? We are currently an independent tea room based in Kensington, but we are looking to expand very soon and open another location in London. We specialise in afternoon tea and are home to a wide array of loose leaf tea blends. We started with an aim to give a little more character to the world of afternoon tea in London. If you feel like this may suit you, below you'll find the duties of the job:

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat customers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction
• Present menus and explain our afternoon tea specials to customers
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly
• Serve food and drinks to customers in a timely and efficient manner
• Answer questions and provide recommendations on menu items
• Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Clear tables and ensure proper tableware and condiments are available for new customers
• Process customer payments accurately using POS systems
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dining areas and service stations
• Collaborate with team members and other staff to provide excellent service and exceed customer expectations

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy trays
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Please note that previous experience as a server is preferred but not required. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate the necessary skills and a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
