The post holder will:
- provide high quality nursing care to meet the needs of the practice population including screening,
- manage care programmes directly to patients without referral from another nurse or doctor
- work with the practice team to mentor and support healthcare assistants
- help maintain clinical quality systems
- work with the practice team to develop practice protocols for the surgery and clinical protocols for

The Requirements
In order for you to be considered for the job, as a minimum we are looking for you to:
- Registered General Nurse wi th current NMC registration
- At least 2 years’ experience working in primary care
- Experience of working in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and The Scope of
- Specific nursing skills/qualifications relevant to the post, including cervical cytology, wound care,
- Up to date in childhood immunisations and influencing parents in their importance
Have a knowledge of local primary care services
- Non Medical Prescriber
- Evidence of further professional development/training in Family Planning, wound care/tissue viability,
- Recognized qualification to diploma level or equivalent for Diabetes, Asthma & COPD (or working< /li>
Salary & Benefits
The role is bank working up to 37.5 hours per week and we’re ideally looking for someone who can commit to occasional out of hours and evening meetings.
