We are seeking a Research Nurse to work in a multi-disciplinary environment to recruit patients with rare diseases to CLRN portfolio studies as well as healthy NIHR BioResource volunteers to local stage 2 recall studies. The successful candidate will work closely with the National Health Service Blood and Transplant and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Applicants must hold curr! ent registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), h! ave a relevant degree and/or possess significant post registration experience. The ability to demonstrate competency in venepuncture is essential whilst previous in research/clinical studies is essential. The successful applicant will have experience of taking skin biopsies. Excellent communication and organisation skills are required as the successful applicant will be expected to liaise with a number of healthcare professionals and clinics locally, regionally and nationally whilst providing coordination of research studies. A willingness to work as part of a team is essential. As a member of the nursing team you may be required to travel and undertake off-site visits; a flexible approach to working hours and duties is considered essential.
The successful applicant will be based at the NHS Blood and Transplant building on the Addenbrooke's Biomedical Research Campus in Cambridge.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2017! in the first instance.
