Treatment (IDTS) team based at HMP Wayland, Norwich.
You will provide evidence based integrated healthcare services to
prisoners resident at ! HMP Wayland, to reflect the standards and
quality of the service they could expect to receive in the wider
community.
Duties will include:
Health assessment to include first night screening and development
of integrated care plan.
Discharge planning including encouraging and supporting prisoners
to access relevant services outside the prison and referral to
other professionals.
Health screening and monitoring for IDTS patients Participate in
health promotion and health education programmes/clinics including
Blood Bourne Virus (BBV) programmes, smoking cessation and support
of health trainer programme.
Undertake practice-nursing procedures, which will include: first
aid, immunisation/vaccination, wound care, venepuncture, ear
syringing, ECGs, health promotion, pre-operative assessment and
administration of psychotropic drugs.

First Level Nurse Registration - RGN/R! MN
RCGP 1 RGN/RMN working towards degree
Post registration experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a challenging environment
Excellent time management skills
Excellent organisational skills
Experience of Substance Misuse would be desirable but is not
essential.
