Further informations about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. I am presently representing a private client within the heart of Birmingham. They are in desperate need on an experienced Cath Lab Nurse to pick up an ongoing contract.
You will be re! quired to work Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday, so flexibility is a must. The hourly rate will be £29 per hour PAYE.
Role Purpose:
- To promote and maintain a caring and highly professional standard of nursing, meeting the needs of the patients undergoing Cath Lab procedures.
- To have continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs; the development; implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
- To promote multidisciplinary teamwork within the Catheter laboratory.
- To assess patients’ individual needs, planning care within the framework of medical care, implementing and evaluating nursing care for all patients undergoing interventional cardiology investigations and procedures.
- To scrub and assist the Cardiologists with angiographic/angioplasty procedures when required.
- To ensure the safe and secure custody and administration of! drugs and the maintenance and safe use of equipment.
- To liaise with the Ward and Theatre to ensure patient care continuity.
- To maintain good and effective communication with all departments within the hospital.
Qualifications:
- RGN
- Intermediate Life Support training.
- A minimum of one-year experience in Cardiac Catheter Suite
