Opportunity for a Lead Nurse to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of ! homecare medication to specific patients across a designated geographical area. We are looking for someone in London & the Home Counties area. This is an interesting, challenging and rewarding role for a nurse who is keen to utilise their skills out with the NHS yet still very much working in partnership with the NHS and focusing on improving quality of life as well as outcomes for patients.

Our client provides homecare which is responsive, professional and empathic in meeting the needs of patients and the NHS. They have developed new ways of assisting patients in managing their treatments at home and have a proven track record of fulfilling promises made to Trusts, delivering demonstrable value for money.

In this role you would provide managerial responsibility of the homecare nursing services across a region after all implemented policies and procedures in place. The role will include co-ordination and management of the nursing rota, proactive nurse recr! uitment to ensure patient needs are met.

As patient c! are is at the centre of all activities, an excellent standard must be maintained so the lead nurse must have an up to date knowledge of the therapies. Some of the therapies involved may be intravenous (e.g. Home Parenteral Nutrition or IV Antibiotics) therefore requiring knowledge of central venous access.As Lead Nurse you must also be able to take part in the account management process.

To be considered for this position you should closely match the following criteria:

• Registered General Nurse with Active Pin number essential.
• Have 3 years post registration experience. Critical care, oncology, Nutrition, Paeds experience would be desirable
• Have advanced knowledge of IV therapies
• Have some management experience.
• Some Community experience is desired
