Serco is currently looking to recruit a part time Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the team in the Minor Injuries Unit at Felixstowe Community Hospital.
The successful candidate will deliver! a holistic, autonomous and clinical nursing service, making an assessment of patients presenting with certain minor injuries/illness or complaints. The post holder will treat, advise and/or refer patients appropriately either within the department or externally.
Duties will include developing care plans for individual patients/clients using agreed protocols and guidelines and carrying out telephone triage/ advice as necessary.
Essential requirements:
- Level 1 registered Nurse
- Current NMC registration.
- Leg ulcer management.
- Tissue viability
- Previous MIU knowledge
- Phlebotomy
- Woundcare
- Cannulation
