Possible full time position providing services as an Infection Prevention Clinical Nurse for the 48th Medical ! Group, RAF Lakenheath, England
with RGB Group, Inc.
Responsibilities-
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
May be required to attend government sites to provide specific additional training in patient care aspects and procedures
Working knowledge of computers, specifically the Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Windows Operating
Systems
Adhere local base procedures for entry to Air Force controlled and restricted areas
Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly in emergency situations
Provide patients with the utmost care/undivided attention
Ensure a safe work environment and employee safe working habits
Quality inspections and risk management activities to the extent that falls within the scope of this PWS
Serve as a subject matter expert in Infection Prevention and Control
Collect, organize, records, rep! orts and make recommendations for all surveillance activities ! as directed
Patient round and patient care conferences
Review microbiological reports to identify and investigate unusual or multiple antibiotic resistant pathogens, clustering, or epidemics of
HAI's
Qualifications
Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing or a Masters in Public Health
Licensure and Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is required
Active, valid, current, and unrestricted license to practice nursing as a registered nurse by the US state/jurisdiction
Twenty continuing education units (CEU) per year in Nursing or Infection Prevention
Five years of active clinical practice
