Position: Software Design Engineer (R&D Department)
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £35 - £37K
HOURS:
36.5 hours ? Monday to Thursday 8.30am ? 5.00pm with a 30 minute lunch break & Friday 8.30am ? 1pm with no lunch break.
ROLE:
To develop PC software and mobile system based graphical user interfaces and applications in conjunction with the Electronic and Mechatronic Design Engineers to support prosth! etic product development.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBI! LITIES:
a) Development of PC Software applications for prototype, pre-production and production solutions.
b) Creation of test software modules to verify product function in a production environment.
c) Carry out detailed software documentation and verification/validation across platforms.
d) Provide support to areas such as post-design, production & QA.
e) In conjunction with NPD engineers provide technical support for sales staff.
f) Development of PC Software applications for prototype, pre-production and production solutions.
g) Creation of test software modules to verify product function in a production environment.
h) Carry out detailed software documentation and verification/validation across platforms.
i) Provide support to areas such as post-design, production & QA.
j) In conjunction with NPD engineers provide technical support for sales staff.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPER! IENCE;
a) BSc/BEng (honours) degree or equivalent in software engineering or related subject.
b) Developing professional GUI solutions - Programming high level languages, C#/C++/WPF/VB and others as part of .net framework
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Understanding ISO 14971, CEI/IEC ISO 62304
b) Developing applications for mobile platforms (Android, iOS and/or Windows 8) - Programme development with Visual Studios Experience with Bluetooth and WiFi requirements within applications - Familiarity of software architecture documentation principles and standards - Knowledge of software deployment across various platforms and web based applications
