We are currently looking for the following lecturers at a further education college based in Chadwell Health in the Childcare curriculum area.

• X1 Childcare Lecturer

Candidates require the following skills and experience:

• Experience teaching BTEC L3 in Health and Social Care Units (Developing Effective Communication in Health and Social Care; Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care; Introduction to Counselling Skills; Dealing with Challenging Behaviour; Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care).
• Candidates must be educated to degree Level related to Health or Care (Psychology Degree, Qualified Social Worker, Qualified Nurse, Qualified Care Home Manager, etc.) or have industry experience (desirable).
• All applicants must have significant experience in teaching at Level 3 learners BTEC syllabus.
• Being able to conduct marking and assessment are priority for this post
• The candidates must have one of the following teaching qualifications: Certificate of Education/PGCE/DTLLS.

For the Health & Social Care Lecturer, the successful candidate will be expected to deliver the following units:

• Developing Effective Communication in Health and Social Care
• Health Safety and Security in Health and Social Care
• Introduction to Counselling Skills

Therefore, experience delivering these units would be desirable.

Candidates will be subject to an interview process which will involve a micro-teach and job related testing. Please note only those who pass the micro-teach will be put forward for the remainder of the section process so please ensure the candidates have a full understating of the process and come prepared to deliver teaching in the micro-teach.

For those attending interview, the agency will need to have verified the following for candidates:

• The right to work in the UK documentation such as a passport confirming that the candidates' are either a British Citizen or a European Economic Area national, or a letter/visa vignette from the Home Office confirming that they are allowed to work in the UK
• a document showing the candidate's National Insurance Number (e.g. P45, P60, NI card or letter)
• All professional and academic teaching qualifications verified (original documents only seen - any overseas qualifications accompanied by UK Naric) (BEd, PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLS only)
• Enhanced CRB disclosure (issued within last 12 months)
• 2 employment references

The intended start date would be 3 September 2012, working Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week. The working pattern will breakdown as follows: 36 hours per week - 23 contact hours teaching/13 hours prep (including meetings, marking etc.).
