Position: Stores Operative
Salary: Up to £24,000.
Location: Bedford
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Operative to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business based in Bedford.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Stores Operative to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the site's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
You will be responsible for:
- Use the system to check parts and components against customer orders
Allocate stock for assembly and move to the kitting area
Determine shipment and packaging requirements for spare parts and units
Participate in activities to improve processes and increase efficiency
Pack spare items and units securely
Ensure required standards of safety are adhered to and good housekeeper is maintained
Carry out reasonable tasks or projects that may be required by the Value Stream Manager
Ideal Candidate:
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
Previous experience in a stores environment
Commutable to Bedford
