at the Research Group Cooperative Systems
to 14.03.2024.

The research group "Cooperative Systems" at the Faculty of Computer Science deals with innovative research topics at the interdisciplinary interface between communication technology, microeconomics and user research, and their application in future telecommunications, energy, transport and health systems, as well as in IoT-based systems such as smart homes and smart buildings.
As part of the further development of the research group, we are looking for a committed employee to work on questions relating to the intelligence, usability and seamless integration of IoT systems and networks, as well as to work on corresponding national and/or European research projects. We offer suitably qualified candidates a creative and stimulating working atmosphere within a highly motivated team with an international focus.


Duration of employment: 6 month/s
Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description:
Participation in research, teaching and administration:
  • Participation in research projects and research studies
  • Participation in publications, academic articles and presentations
  • Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
  • Supervision of students
  • Involvement in the organisation of meetings, conferences and symposiums
  • Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration

Profile:
Professional competence:
  • Completed diploma/master's degree in computer science or a related subject
  • focus on computer network and distribution aspects of cooperative systems (e.g. in telecommunications, industry 4.0)
  • in-depth knowledge of IoT, network security and embedded systems is an advantage
Methodological competence:
  • qualification for independent scientific work
  • ideally experience in the participation in research and development projects in a national and international environment
Didactic competence in teaching activities:
  • High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • IT user skills
  • Ability to work in a team

Desirable qualifications are:
  • Teaching experience / experience of working with e-learning
  • Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Experience abroad - Basic experience in research methods and academic writing
