Applications are invited for a permanent Band 7 senior clinical scientist post within clinical biochemistry at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a new post and it would be ideally suited to someone close to finishing their Scientific Training Programme or within their first year post-state registration.

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust comprises Southampton General Hospital, Princess Anne Hospital, Countess Mountbatten House and the Royal South Hants Hospital.

We are one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe with a Pathology Care Group employing over 250 staff.

All services are provided on the Southampton General Hospital site and include a fully automated laboratory and a number of specialist services including Endocrinology, Metabolic Biochemistry and Trace Elements.

As part of the team you will undertake duties to include all aspects of the department’s service provision and you will participate in the duty biochemist rota.

Getting to Work

Application can be made for parking on site at UHS or through one of the park and ride schemes. This will be based on specific criteria to determine eligibility for site parking as this can be very limited.
