We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Nurse based in our office in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. Although our of! fice is in Broxbourne, travel is a key part of the role as we ! cover a large area so it is essential that candidates are car drivers and happy to travel out in the community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments
- Undertake assessments for new packages of care
- Review care plans and risk assessments on a regular basis
- Promote Independence wherever possible
- Review and monitor care packages
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Manage client needs
- Manage the clinical aspects of the care in partnership with other healthcare professionals
- Spot Checks
- Assess competencies of the staff working in the packages
- Establish & maintain Workers competency files - ensuring required competencies are completed for all necessary workers.
The ideal candidate will be a Registered General Nurse who is also happy to work with children or a Registered Paediatric Nurse. ITU/H! DU experience is desirable but not essential. This post would best suit a flexible candidate who is able to manage their own workload whilst training and mentoring junior staff. Candidates must be a car driver as this is very much a community based role.
