Responsible To
Theatre Manager
Key Responsibilities
You will work under the Theatre Manager to provide a high standard of patient care and safety in accordance with CARE UKâs philosophy, objectives, policies and legal requirements.
Lead the scrub team to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that all peri-operative nursing care activities carried out comply with relevant legislation and Company policies and procedures.
Ensure that all procedures performed meet individual patient needs, reflect good practice and are provided by means of appropriate equipment, within the agreed patient care pathways.
Ensure that patients made informed decisions about their surgery and that consent meets legal requirements
Ensure that the cleanliness and hygiene of the theatre complex i! s maintained, adhering to infection control policies and proce! dures, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience
Relevant theatre experience as a scrub practitioner
2 years experience at Grade D. Clinical experience in either Orthopaedics, General surgery, Opthalmics
Recovery experience
Qualifications
Registered Nurse
Teaching qualification
Specialist theatre/recovery/day surgery training e.g. ENB 183/182/176/A87/N81/DO3/A21/N33 or equivalent
