Hours of work hours per week 8.30am to 3.30pm term-time plus 1 week

Start date: as soon as possible

We have identified the need to provide specialist! first aid and emergency care and treatment for sick and injured pupils or staff during the school day, in order to enhance pupils school life and education. This role will also include providing information, support and advice on health issues to parents, children and teachers and establishing this busy role as a key part of the school community. The successful candidate will be involved in whole school community days.

Essential:

• Registered Nurse
• Practical knowledge, experience and training in child protection procedures
• Organise and manage own time and caseload, prioritising as necessary according to workload, whilst taking opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and experience
• Must be able to work calmly under pressure, be a team player

Desirable:

• Experience of nursing children/young people
• Competent skills in School Child Health Needs assessments, planning, writing, implem! enting and evaluating Health Care Plans for school aged childr! en.
• Current First Aid qualification
