Hospital Manager - Independent Hospital - £36k/£40k

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experience and dynamic General Manager for a leading specialist provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services within Greater Manchester.
The Hospital has been developed to provide high quality treatment for adult men and women with enduring mental illness and complex needs.
You must be an RMN / RNLD and will be expected to register with the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager and lead the service from the front and maintain its effective operation at all times, reporting directly to the Service Director.
Responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring the provision of high quality nursing care in accordance with the company policies and procedures, statutory and good practice guidance.
- Ensuring that individual needs of the service users are met on a day to day basis and that appropriate meetings (e.g. CPA, GP, Case reviews, etc) are held. !
- Working with other professional colleagues, purchasers an! d commissioners to ensure that the service users' best interests are identified and plans are established to meet them
- Ensuring that effective and efficient recording systems are established and maintained.
- Being the responsible officer for budgetary control unless otherwise agreed with the Service Director.
- Taking a lead role in policy development and governance meetings.
- Actively marketing the service and action all appropriate referrals and assessments in liaison with the Service Director.
- Undertaking continuous monitoring of all aspects of service delivery
- Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008
- In-depth understanding of professional and current issues in adult mental health
- Understanding of health and safety, clinical risk and quality issues
- Awareness of equality and diversity
- Understanding of rehabilitation and or/challe! nging behaviour services.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
- Previous management experience within a health setting.
