Systems Analyst - Business Intelligence
Position Summary
Covidien currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Analyst to become part of Covidien's EMEA information services department within Business Intelligence.
We are looking for a skilled Systems Analyst to take ownership and be a technical lead in the Business Intelligence area. Working with other areas of the Covidien, the Systems Analyst will be programming, project managing and be customer facing.

Principle Accountabilities of the Systems Analyst:
- Take ownership and be a technical lead in the Business
- Be able to analyse business objectives through the detailed review
- To create and maintain clear and concise specifications using EIS
- Contribute to other system development projects relating to BI
Minimum requirements:
To be successful in the Systems Analyst role, you must have:
- Extensive experience in developing applications within an
- Advanced knowledge of the IBM Cognos suite of BI tools, in
- Extensive experience managing SQL server configuration; designing
- Be familiar with and has demonstrated their skill through the use
- Have used industry standard principles of data mart/Data warehouse
- Be a knowledgeable professional with extensive experience with IBM

To be successful in this position, you will have strong problem solving skills and the ability to determine the impact of the various solutions to a problem before implementing it. Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively and with clarity to all levels in IS and the business functions with respect to project activities and maintenance of good working practices is essential.
In addition, we are looking for a self-starter who demonstrates initiative and the ability to operate effectively in a team or working independently;
