Spire Bushey Hospital is looking for a Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our nursing team to support our paediatric patients. We are looking for motivated enthusiastic Paediatric Nurses to help develop and lead our paediatric service. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new team involved in the care of children. It is an opportunity for the individual to run their own pre- operative assessment clinic and follow through on the care of the individual and their family from admission to discharge.

You will monitor and maintain a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and delivering effective clinical care. You will be an excellent communicator and passionate about providing first class customer service. You will work within a clinical team and be confident when dealing with consultants, able to resolve problems and stride to improve customer care.

Working hours: Bank (covering 7 days / nights)

Skills required include:

  • You must be a Registered Paediatric Nurse with 3 years plus day case or overnight stay experience with varying specialities.
  • Ideally the candidate will hold a post registration qualification which is specific to paediatrics and a mentoring qualification to be able to sign off paediatric competencies.
  • Competence across a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to resolve problems and stride to improve customer care.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility as shifts are covering 7 days on a rota basis.
Competencies required:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop good working relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and an acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.

Spire Bushey Hospital is situated within easy access of the M1 and M25 motorways. The hospital is located approximately five miles from Watford town centre, 15 miles from London.

Hourly rate: Competitive
