Our new residential service at Mastin Moor supports up to 28 people with complex mental health problems. Delivered in recently built, state-of-the-art accommodation, this unique model of high quality, intensive support is designed to enable service users to regain their health, wellbeing and independence so they can move back into the community. Our innovative, person-centred approach will shape the way in which community mental health services are provided in the future.
The service consists of 28 self-contained bedsits across two separate units, together with a number of communal facilities. Residents will stay with us for up to two years, during which time we will provide specialist mental health support to promote their recovery as well as a range of structured activities to aid their transition to more independent living. As well as highly trained mental health nurses and support workers, our staff team will include psychiatric and psychological support alongside occupational therapy and social workers.
We are looking for Senior Nurses to join our team. For the qualified individuals who join us, the professional challenges will be significant and varied. Involved with case management and user involvement, you will be part of a therapeutic team and create personal recovery plans, always maintaining our strong values-driven approach to supporting vulnerable people towards rehabilitation. You will also have line management responsibility for a team of Support Workers.
To succeed in this role you must be suitably qualified and possess strong relevant experience, together with a proven track record of meeting the complex needs of a similar service user group. A good understanding of issues relating specifically to mental health â€" including current regulatory requirements, is also a pre-requisite and ideally you will have experience of shift leadership and/or management of others in a care setting, although those with experience gained in other ways will be considered.
