Spire Bushey Hospital is looking for a Sister to join our busy general surgical ward.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years¿ experience at Senior Nurse Level and working in a surgical environment. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high standards of effective clinical care for our wide range of In-patients. You will monitor and maintain a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and delivering effective clinical care and w! ill strive to continually improve services and promote best pr! actice in all areas. You will liaise with Consultants, medical staff and other disciplines to ensure continuity of care. To assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex changing caseload, assist in the delivery of care to meet individual¿s health and wellbeing needs and provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information whilst developing your own knowledge and skills and that of others.
You will be responsible for the effective running of Gade Ward over a 24-hour period to ensure patient and consultation satisfaction is maintained at all times. You will ensure the team delivers high levels of effective patient care by providing high standards of appropriate clinical and managerial leadership skills.
You will assist the Senior Sister and Junior Sister in delivering its current and future business plans
Working hours: Full-Time 37.5 hours per week (over 7 days on a rotating shift pattern)
Skills required include:
¿ Qualifications & Training: RGN level 1 surgical experience.
¿ Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
¿ Sound clinical background.
¿ Evidence of post registration continual professional development.
Competencies required:
¿ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop good working relationships.
¿ Exceptional organisational and time management skills and an acute attention to detail.
¿ Great Customer Service skills.

Spire Bushey Hospital is situated within easy access of the M1 and M25 motorways. The hospital is located approximately five miles from Watford town centre, 15 miles from London.
