Our client is a leading Private Hospital conveniently located close to the South Coast. They offer a comprehensive range of treatments and procedures complimented by the most up-to-date medical equipment.
The hospital is unique because of the care our client offers to its patients throughout their entire treatment. From an initial consultation in their out-patien! t department, right through to getting the results as quickly ! as possible, they endeavour to provide the highest standards of comfort, care and attention.
As a result of a £9 million refurbishment programme they now require additional staff to man the additional facilities.
They are currently seeking a Theatre Scrub Staff Nurse â€" General to ensure high levels of patient care are met. Whilst the position is permanent and full time, our client will consider applications from qualified Theatre Scrub Staff Nurses looking for part time employment / job share.
The successful candidate will have the capacity to plan equipment and consumable requirements, the ability to participate in on-call duties, the ability to work to tight deadlines and be able to assist in all aspects of peri operative care.
Specifically you will supervise and support junior / clinical support staff in the delivery of care, providing education, training and mentorship to meet development needs.
You will deliver high quali! ty patient care which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.
You will undertake clinical competency assessment of junior/support staff, within own qualification and remit.
You will participate in integrated governance and risk assessment activities, reporting these as required.
You will undertake delegated responsibility for senior staff during short periods of absence.
You will report clinical incidents and complete all associated documentation as required.
You will take charge of a shift (once the appropriate training and support has been given).
You will administer medicines in accordance with NMC guidelines, and organisational policies and procedures.
You will act as a Trainer for a specified area of responsibility.
Finally you will support the Clinical Lead for the area with audits, policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished qual! ified Theatre Scrub Staff Nurse and ideally have ILS or ALS skills.
It is essential that you are a qualified and experience Scrub Nurse with a solid theatre background and that you have a current NMC registration.
You should also have good interpersonal and communication skills and can work well as part of a team.
