The Whittington Hospital is a newly formed Integrated Care Organization in North London providing a seamless transition from Hospital to community care. As part of our development to providing high quality safer care we have a rare vacancy within our Integrated Care and Acute Medicine (ICAMS) division for a forward thinking, natural leader in the r! ole of Matron for acute wards.

The role is pivotal to! the smooth running of the organization providing leadership and ensuring patient flow and safety through the three acute wards and two medical assessment units. This is a demanding but rewarding opportunity for the correct person, someone who thrives on seeing tangible benefits of their work supporting the ward managers, playing a vital role in patient safety and experience whilst working within national targets.

Your primary role will be to support the ward managers to inspire and develop the nursing team, leading by example, in ensuring patients receive world class healthcare and experience through excellence in research, education and training. As part of this role you will also be expected to take the lead on staffing, bed capacity and daily management issues whilst forward planning for the continued growth of the organisation, something that will come naturally to you as leader and excellent communicator.
