These positions are UNPAID but offer valuable work Experience opportunities with clear progression routes within the industry to those interested and a career in Care.
Throughout the programme you will combine training opportunities with quality work experience in our homes. As well as the opportunity to gain valuable experience you will have the opportunity to complete courses that will be recognised throughout the industry such as; Moving and Handling, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Customer Service
This Traineeship Opportunity is part of a full programme which will offer Employability skills such as Job Searching, CV writing, interview skills and Interview preparation. Trainees will also be given the opportunity to develop kills in English and Maths.

conjunction with “off the job training†that will equip you with the skills and abilities required to work in Care
- You’ll become a member of the team in your home and will be given a valuable insight into a career in Care

Important Other Information
This is UNPAID work experience.
You will be required to attend for 30 hours each week. You will also be required to attend off the job training sessions organised by Barchester
The 30 hrs per week is inclusive of the 'off the job' training skills we have planned for the applicant, which (where required) can include Math, English and Employability SKills.
This traineeship work experience is part of an education and training programme that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core is work preparation training, English! and maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.
Are you eligible ??
1 Are you currently not in a job and have little Work Experience
2 Are you aged 16-18 and qualified below Level 3 (2 x A levels) or 19 to 23 and not yet achieved a Level 2 (5 GCSE’s at grade A-C including maths and english)
3 Think you could be ready for employment or an apprenticeship within 6 months
The programme duration is reduced for eligible candidates who are in receipt of JSA to a maximum of 8 weeks Work Experience and 16hrs off the job training each week.
