The Clinical Trials Centre at St MaryÂ's Hospital, Paddington is one of the leading HIV research units in the UK and is linked to the Jefferiss Wing, one of the countr! yÂ's largest GUM/HIV Centres. An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are looking for a new Clinical Trials Assistant.
You will be part of the multi-disciplinary research team and will work very closely with the research nurses in the Centre. Your main role will be assisting with a study looking into HIV and aging. The role includes carrying out cognitive testing of the participants and data entry, recording measurements and phlebotomy (full training in all procedures will be given). The role will also involve some clerical work including photocopying, filing and booking appointments.
Some experience of working in a clinical environment would be beneficial and having a psychology, science or health related degree would be desirable but is not essential.
The post is full time and available for one year in the first instance and will be based at our St.MaryÂ's Campus.
