We are looking for a Case Investigation Officer who will carry out in-house investigation of alle! gations made against Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registrants.
About us
We are the UKâs nursing and midwifery regulator. We exist to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the public by setting standards for education, maintaining a register of nurses and midwives and investigating individuals whose fitness to practise is called into question.
About You
You will be responsible for the compilation of evidence for the Investigating Committee (IC) and effective and efficient progression of the associated casework to enable the NMC to fulfil its statutory obligation to protect the public. You will ensure that investigations are completed in a timely manner.
You will assess and process individual cases in accordance with statutory processes and standard operating procedures using the NMCâs Case Management System (CMS). You will ensure that cases are managed to achieve high standards of customer care.
The ability to ! understand detailed policies and procedural frameworks is esse! ntial, as is good IT literacy. Crucial to success in the role will be the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and tactfully with customers at all levels, both internally and externally. You must be able to deal with conflicting demands and prioritise the workload effectively.
