The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of acute clinical services for a catchment area of up to 650,000 pe! ople. We provide specialist services in radiotherapy, neonatalogy, paediatrics, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, rheumatology, medicine and surgery. Every year our 6,500 staff (approx.) treat people from Norfolk, neighbouring counties and further afield. Our patients are referred to us by around 100 local GP surgeries and other acute hospitals and primary care Trusts around the country. We are involved in the teaching and training of a wide range of health professionals, in partnership with the University of East Anglia and City College Norwich.
We are seeking to appoint a Registered Nurse to join our committed team on the Renal Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Experience within Haemodialysis/Renal Nursing desirable.
As post holder you will rotate throughout all parts of the Renal Department and work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi-disciplinary framework. Maintaining a high standard of! patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Siste! r/Charge Nurse, you will act as a leader in the clinical area in the absence of a more senior member of staff.
Requirements:
 Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Register
 To have successfully completed the TrustÂ's Preceptorship Programme
 To have completed the Mentorship Preparation Programme or equivalent
 Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
 Ability to maintain high standards of care
 Competency in clinical skills including enhanced practice relevant to the level of experience and clinical area
 Time management skills
 Evidence of participation in clinical audit/patient review
 Post registration qualification relevant to the clinical area is desirable
 Working towards a health related degree or equivalent experience is desirable
 Recent experience of nursing in an acute hospital environment is desirable
 Knowledge/experien! ce of relevant speciality is desirable
 Experience of managing/leading a team and co-ordinating workload is desirable
 Experience of mentoring, supervision, teaching and assessment is desirable
