Healthcare Advisor - Stop Smoking

A Stop Smoking Healthcare Advisor is sought to join this highly innovative, flexible, independent provider of telehealth and health improvement services.

The organisation provides advisory services for Chronic Disease Self-Management, Health Training, Sexual Health and Smoking. They are now seeking a Stop Smoking Healthcare Advisor to deliver Stop Smoking support to clients via intervention programmes, drop ins, group and one-on-one sessions.

Stop Smoking help is delivered in a range of settings including primary care, workplaces and community settings to contribute to achieving the Stop Smoking service target for Berkshire.

The Stop Smoking Healthcare Advisor will be responsible for the following:

• Promoting and encouraging smokers to access the local Stop Smoking service, by ensuring resources are displayed across the city
• Providing Stop Smoking support to clients across localities to meet the needs of smokers in key locations and groups of nee! d
• Managing a caseload of clients, including setting q! uit dates and providing behavioural support
• Maintaining accurate and clear client records, adhering to the Data Protection Act
• Liaising with other health professionals, including GPs, pharmacies and midwives

The ideal Stop Smoking Healthcare Advisor will possess the following skills and experience:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• The willingness to undergo a CRB check
• Experience within the Healthcare market would be advantageous, although not essential
• Local knowledge of the Berkshire area

As a Stop Smoking Healthcare Advisor you will be working in the heart of the community, in an organisation who really goes the extra mile for their clients. The organisation is supported by a medical board, working to ensure good clinical governance and supporting the healthcare delivery team.
