An excellent SEN School in the borough of Birmingham are looking for a Primary teacher to cover long-term sickness from September 2012 on an ongoing basis. You will be teaching a small KS2 class. The students in the class have a range of profound disabilities as well as autism and you will be supported by two Teaching Assistants who know the students well, both TA’s are experienced and know the class well. The role is for 5 days per week from Septmebr , there is scope for the role to carry on into the New Year for the right candidate.

The school has excellent facilities as it was built less than 5 years ago, this includes a sensory room, a variety of playgrounds and gardens and a hydrotherapy pool. Staff turnover at this school is low and the staff you will be working with are upbeat, energetic and come from a wide variety of teaching backgrounds. Experience in a SEN school would be ideal, but the school will also consider you if you are a mainstream teacher who has had experience working with children and young adults with Special Education Needs. The teaching position would suit: Fully qualified teachers Enthusiastic, flexible and creative teachers; Teachers who can provide 2 teaching referees (one of which MUST be from your most recent/current employer); Teachers with a current CRB from a company holding the quality mark or willingness to obtain; Teachers who believe that teaching should be FUN!
